Whatever happened to EvIL and WM? Why weren't they in the CT? Just curious.

Korean interest in this game has decreased massively, and the major teams that used to play stopped when the GWNC was not announced. EviL and WM have both made some half-hearted attempts to return, but they were out of the meta and not prepared to deal with the Build Wars, so they never lasted long.

Some members had to join the army.
I heard rumors that this one korean guild that made it into the playoffs had ex-members of EviL and WM, but I didn't watch them and I don't know if it's true.

Like I said, rumors. I didn't observe a single game of theirs, so I didn't see any IGN's. If you say they didn't, OK.

Outplaying people (what Korean guilds are famous for) doesn't really work in Build Wars.

I was talking to Dan Jang a few weeks ago.

The guild is called:

Viral Epidemic [IV]

Has a couple EvIL and few WM. He said they were kind of just pugging it until a championship is announced then they go back to their guilds.

A new championship has just been announced. Will they go back now?

It'll be interesting to see how well they do now that a lot of them have been gone from GW for a while...

WM's attempt ended in tears, I some how feel for them, but I got the impression they disliked the metagame, what I think killed it for them was the CT fall back timing? So I guess they just withdrew from the tournement.

Thanks,
Pr0gram~

WM were playing earlier today, they were running an interesting boon prot bar using Scribe's Insight with Sig Devo and Remedy Sig

Yeah, I watched [WM] lose vs. [Law] this morning.

And since I miss playing boon prot monk, I probably had an inflated opinion of the scribe's insight monk.

One of my guildies grabbed Soul Wedding's bar, it was:

Unforunately, I missed the game as I would've loved to have seen how the hell it worked:

[build prof=mo/p][rof][gift of health][remedy signet][signet of devotion][mend condition][divine boon][cop][scribes insight][/build]

Seems like a decently fun bar I guess.

It is fun and original, yes. But I don't think it is as effective as some current popular bar.

Basically, what Soul Wedding was just spam Remedy Signet and Signet of Devotion on himself and other people to compensate for the energy loss of Divine Boon. It was quite fun to watch, actually, and he was pretty hard to kill (but whether that was because of the build or because he's... not bad on monk :P... is up for debate). RoF/GoH/Mend Condi to heal people, and he'd hit CoP if he got in trouble in himself.

It was nice to see something unique on obs mode too. Made up for the weirdness of seeing Soul Wedding with a [WM] tag :P
